Course Technology PTR | ISBN: 1598634054 | October 29, 2007 | 304 pages | PDF | 26.4 MB
Thanks to TV's crime scene investigation shows, forensic technology has entered popular culture. Combining puzzle solving and a dramatic storyline, these shows fascinate audiences as high-tech procedures uncover the truths hidden in seemingly insignificant clues. What many people may not realize is that forensic teams also use items they probably have in their own homes – digital cameras, computers, and Photoshop image editing software. "Adobe Photoshop Forensics: Sleuths, Truths, and Fauxtography" shows you how Photoshop is used to create many types of fakery and fraud, including scientific, counterfeiting, art, journalism, and political propaganda. You'll discover that with some basic training in Photoshop's manipulation capabilities and a critical eye, you too can see through photographic hoaxes.

XML Portfolio Template v4 is a full Flash web site that is extremely configurable with XML . This has been nearly 6 months in development. I feel that this is more than a template, but almost a framework from which to build highly interactive websites from. I’ve taken great care to document how to work with this template and add your own content within its help file. I’m extremely pleased with the way this came out and I’m glad I’ve taken the time to get it right.

Adobe Press | ISBN: 0321385446 | 2006 | CHM | 280 pages | 20.9 MB
It's no mystery why InDesign has become the premier page layout program: It offers great tools-not least among them its sophisticated typographic controls. When developing Flex and/or AIR applications there are a handful of tools that really make the difference between a good project and a great project. They are all very valuable and provide stability and clarity for the RIA development process; or at least they have for me. From Unit Testing to SVN utilities to frameworks and libraries I’ve found the following ten items to be very useful and helpful. I’d even go so far as to say these are critical for quality Flex RIA development; but as Les says: “It’s just a matter of opinion.”
Cairngorm
Cairngorm is the lightweight micro-architecture for Rich Internet Applications built in Flex or AIR. A collaboration of recognized design patterns, Cairngorm exemplifies and encourages best-practices for RIA development advocated by Adobe Consulting, encourages best-practice leverage of the underlying Flex framework, while making it easier for medium to large teams of software engineers deliver medium to large scale, mission-critical Rich Internet Applications.

Flex Unit
FlexUnit is a unit testing framework for Flex and ActionScript 3.0 applications and libraries. It mimics the functionality of JUnit, a Java unit testing framework, and comes with a graphical test runner.

Eclipse
Eclipse is a multi-language software development platform comprising an IDE and a plug-in system to extend it. It is written primarily in Java and is used to develop applications in this language and, by means of the various plug-ins, in other languages as well - C, C++, COBOL, Python, Perl, PHP and more.

Flex Ant Tasks
The Adobe® Flex® Ant tasks provide a convenient way to build your Flex projects using an industry-standard build management tool. If you are already using Ant projects to build Flex applications, you can use the Flex Ant tasks to replace your exec or java commands that invoke the mxmlc and compc compilers. If you are not yet using Ant to build your Flex applications, you can take advantage of these custom tasks to quickly and easily set up complex build processes for your Flex applications.

In Photoshop CS4 for Photographers: Camera Raw, Chris Orwig enthusiastically explores a Photoshop plug-in that is a must-have for any serious photographer. By working on the digital negatives in Camera Raw, photographers have more creative control over their photos, and the original files remain intact. Chris demonstrates techniques for processing images by adjusting tone, contrast, highlights, and clarity. He also illustrates methods for sharpening images, controlling color saturation, and creating dynamic black-and-white images. With a detailed tour of the interface and control panels, Chris shows how Camera Raw is a one-of-a-kind creative resource. Exercise files accompany the course.
Photoshop CS4 for Photographers is a recommended prerequisite for this course.
